At IdData.in, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information submitted through our platform. This page explains, in plain language, what information we collect, why, how it is used and protected, and how you can delete it.
IdData.in is an online platform that helps schools, colleges, institutions and organizations collect the information and photographs needed to prepare ID cards, working together with the ID card vendor ("Vendor") that set up their account.
Account information: name, username, mobile number, email address (where provided) and login password of Vendors and colleges/institutions.
Student / member information: depending on the fields an institution chooses to collect, this may include name, parent/guardian name, class/course/department/designation, roll or ID number, mobile number, date of birth, blood group, address, and a photograph.
We do not decide what information an institution should collect — the institution using IdData.in chooses what it needs for its own ID cards and is responsible for having the right to collect it.

We do not sell personal information to anyone, and we do not use student/member information for advertising.
The school, college, company or other institution that collects data through IdData.in is responsible for collecting only what it reasonably needs, getting any consent required by law, and telling its own students, staff or members about how their information will be used.
IdData.in is commonly used by schools, so information about children may be submitted. The institution collecting a child's information is responsible for getting a parent or guardian's consent first, as required by Indian law. We do not use a child's information for advertising or tracking of any kind.
To prepare and print ID cards, the member data and photos an institution submits are of course visible to that institution and to the Vendor working with it — that is the whole purpose of the service. No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security, so we also encourage everyone to keep their login details private.
IdData.in is hosted on Hostinger and may use a small number of other trusted service providers needed to run the website, database, email, payments and backups. We only allow these providers to use information for the purpose of providing their service to us.
Online payments are processed by our payment partner, Razorpay. We never see or store your full card or bank details — that is handled entirely by Razorpay.
We keep information for as long as an account is active, or as needed to meet our legal obligations. An institution can delete its own records from its dashboard where that option is available.
If a paid subscription lapses and is not renewed, the institution's data is kept for a grace period as described in our Terms & Conditions, after which it may be permanently deleted.
Please download and keep a copy of any Excel files or photographs you need before deleting an account or letting a subscription lapse.
We use only the essential cookies/session storage needed to keep you logged in and the site working securely — nothing used for advertising or tracking.
We do not sell or rent your information. We only share it where necessary to run the service (hosting, payments, backups, support), or where required by law.
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and raise any concern with our Grievance Officer below. If your information was collected by a specific institution (your school, college or employer), that institution is usually the right first place to ask — you're welcome to contact us directly too, and we'll help however we can.
